Brian’s picks

1) Halls of the Miller House will get decked in time for the holidays with an all-new tour, “Crèche the Halls,” courtesy of the Columbus Area Visitors Center. Organizers had noted that Miller House visitor numbers leveled a bit earlier this year and hatched this idea as a way of showing the mid-century modern masterpiece in a new light — just as the Miller family normally decorated in restrained fashion for Christmas. That includes a selection of the late Xenia Miller’s crèches collected around the world. Tours begin Tuesday. Cost: $25. Reservations: 888-718-4253 or columbus.in.us.

2) Bloomington’s Voces Novae (Latin for “New Voices”) chamber choir uses their voices more like creative, musical instruments. Its main clip on Facebook serves as a great example. Some locals might have caught them singing in March 2014 at various Columbus architectural sites. The group will perform a free concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at North Christian Church, 850 Tipton Lane, Columbus. Information: 812-372-1531 or the Facebook page for Voces Novae chamber choir Bloomington, Indiana.
