Waycross Drive
Virginia A. “Jenny” Prather, 62, of Waycross Drive, died at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Virginia was born January 18, 1953, in Letcher County, Kentucky, the daughter of Harold and Mattie Day Stamper.
She was previously employed at Sap’s Bakery, Kroger and Wal-Mart. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Jones officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughters, Teresa (Scott) Nickerson and Shannon Prather, both of Columbus; brothers, David (Becky) Stamper of Seymour, Jon (Juli) Stamper of Ohio and Rodney (Sirena) Stamper of Columbus; sisters, Betty (Cecil) Caudill of Seymour, Mary (David) Manley of Columbus and Judy Stamper of Seymour; a brother-in-law, Raymond Cornett of Spraytown; and grandchildren, Dylan Prather, Alexis Bannister and Shelby, Ethan and Mara Nickerson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, George Stamper; and a sister, Sandra Cornett.
