Gov. Mike Pence named three people representing Bartholomew County to serve on the state Works Council, representing Region 9.
He reappointed Jesse R. Brand and Sue G. Smith and appointed Barry E. Parkhurst. Each will serve a two-year term ending Oct. 31, 2017.
Brand is a former Columbus businessman and is a trustee of the state Ivy Tech board; Smith is vice president of Technology Division at Ivy Tech Community College; and Parkhurst is vice president of administration for NTN Driveshaft.
