Josh Major, Columbus East sophomore football player

Major carried 28 times for 122 yards and three touchdowns and completed 4 of 4 passes for 61 yards Friday in a 28-14 sectional semifinal win against Whiteland.

His performance last week:

“I feel like overall, it was our best game as a team. We really executed, and it wasn’t just one person doing everything. Everyone contributed, and that’s what led to our overall success.”

“I usually listen to music and watch a lot of film.”

Danielle Giles, Hauser senior volleyball player

Giles led the Jets with 16 digs and an ace in a three-set regional loss at Indianapolis Lutheran.

“I feel like we gave a whole effort. With it being my senior year, I just wanted to go out there without any negativity and play my game.”

“In the locker room, we jam out to music and do a lot of team bonding stuff.”
