Bowlers net top series in multiple leagues

Two bowlers each rolled the top series in two separate leagues last week.

Steve Phillips notched a 668 in the Senior Men’s League and a 638 in the Monday Night Church League. Clint Million had a 661 in the Wednesday Night Mixed League and a 683 in the Friday Night Merry Mixers League.

Vern Phillips had the high game in the Senior Men’s League at 246. Wildcats netted the high team handicap series (2,882), and Falcons lead the team standings at 63-25.

Allen Smith rolled the high game in the Monday Night Church League at 256. St. Peter’s No. 1 leads the team standings at 38-18.

Carolyn Baldwin posted the women’s high game in the Wednesday Night Mixed League (484), while Doug Prather had the men’s high game (256) and Peggy Smith had the women’s high game (192). Old Time Flea Market leads the team standings at 48-16.

Bert Phillips notched the women’s high series in the Merry Mixers Friday Night League (548), while Reggie Bautista had the high men’s game (238), and Bonnie Hundley had the high women’s game (232). Praxiar netted the high handicap team game (995), and Colts Fans had the high handicap team series (2,922).

Courtney Barker rolled the women’s high game (244) and series (630) in the Sunday Night Mixed League. Dwight Beatt had the men’s high game (266), and Michael Cook posted the men’s high series (694). Whitt’s Construction leads the team standings at 42-22.

In the Tuesday Night Men’s League, Brandon Bennett had the high game (289), and Chris Gray had the high series (717). Whitt’s Construction notched the high team game (1,275), while Poynter Chevrolet had the high team series (3,608) and is tied with Papa’s Grill atop the team standings at 50-22.

In the Thursday Ladies Matinee, Phyllis Alexander recorded the high game (172), and Leda Dean had the high series (482). Heaven Bound rolled the high team game (622), and The Niners had the high team series (1,782). Chillin Out leads the team standings at 60-36.

Icemen down Bloomington

The Columbus Icemen used goals from four different players to post a 4-1 win against Bloomington.

Ryan Wirth netted an unassisted goal, and Noah Carlock scored off assists from Wirth and Will Mayhew. Mayhew connected off assists from Noah Carlock and Mark Mayhew, and Jared Buchta scored off assists from Wirth and Dustin Rodgers.

Luke Fry recorded 15 saves.
