$5 scratch-off winner receives $150,000

An Elizabethtown man’s winning $5 scratch-off ticket will be used to purchase his first house.

Roger Giles claimed his $150,000 prize from the Hoosier Lottery, accompanied by his fiancée, Michelle Sharp.

The couple already have picked out a name for their new abode. “We’re going to call it ‘Lucky,'” he said.

Giles purchased his winning ticket at Circle K, 1660 N. State St. in North Vernon.

Hoosier Lottery reported that Giles is the third winner to claim a top prize on the White Hot 5s scratch-off game, which debuted in early August.

Three additional White Hot 5s top prizes are unclaimed at this time, lottery officials said.
