Jerry J. Morron, 75, of Bedford, entered into rest on Monday, November 16, 2015.
He retired from the Cummins Inc. plant in Seymour after 34 years of service.
He loved his family and friends and enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and sports and teaching others to enjoy life. He was a devoted husband and father and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Sue Prince Morron; one son, Jerry Dean Morron; his parents, Bracie T. and May Chambers Morron; eight brothers, Lynual, Marshall, William “Bill,” Cecil, Floyd Ray, Buck, Gene and Morris Boyd Morron; and two sisters, Roberta and Maxine.
He is survived by his five children, Randy (Jeanne) Morron of Bloomington, Jeff (Julie) Morron of Bloomington, Tracy (Kim) Morron of Bedford, Brad (Brenda) Morron of Springville and Kimberley Wagner of Springville.
He is also survived by five sisters, Sharon Norman of Bedford, Nancy Deckard of Bedford, Kathy Evans of Bloomington, Phyllis Biqchler of Lakeland, Florida, and Irene Powell of Seymour; 12 grandchildren, Stacey Morron, Lacie Morron, Abby (Moses) Sears, Josh Morron, Jaymee (Adam) Higgins, Dylan Morron, Stewart Brooking, Dawson Morron, Meredith Morron, Leona Morron, Jacob Gott and Julia Gott; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; his aunt, Sarah Deckard of Bloomington; and Louis Kinser of Bedford.
Friends may call on the family today, Wednesday, November 18, 2015, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, IN 47401. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at 1 p.m. also at the funeral home, with Jimmy Deckard officiating. Burial will be at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, Indiana.
