Martina M. Tiemeyer, 91, formerly of Columbus, died at 9:24 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg.

Martina was born October 8, 1924, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Martin F. and Ada Catherine (Volland) Tiemeyer.

She graduated from Indiana Business College in 1960 and retired in 1983 from Cummins Engine Company after 14 years of service. She was previously employed at Allison Transmission in Indianapolis.

Martina enjoyed golf, swimming and bowling on several leagues. She also enjoyed pearl knitting and bead stringing and was known as “the Bead Lady.” She was a loving and devoted mother who loved family get-togethers. She always liked hosting the family for dinner at Christmas time at the Kopper Kettle. She will be greatly missed by her son and daughter.

The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2015, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Galligar officiating. Calling will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Horn of Columbus; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Dennis Zebell of Columbus; nephew, Dennis Unger of Marble Head, Ohio; and nieces, Donna Tiemeyer of Columbus and Anita Tiemeyer of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin F. and Ada Catherine Volland Tiemeyer; a brother, Marshal Tiemeyer; and a sister, Betty Unger.
