Leland Ballenger, 84, of Jamestown, Kentucky died on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at his residence.
Leland is survived by two daughters, Patty (Donald) McKinney of Vallonia and Marilyn (Phil) Patton of Brownstown; two step-sons, Rick (Tammy) Parrish and Rod Parrish all of Albany, Kentucky; two sisters, Alene Pennington of Dayton, Ohio and Paulette Stoyell of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; three brothers, Johnny Ballenger of Russell Springs, Kentucky, Lindsey Ballenger of Jamestown, Kentucky and Gary Ballenger of Columbia, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. A best friend to the families also survives, Linda McGinnis.
He is preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Susie (Moore) Ballenger; companion, Inez Parrish; sister, Betty Lou Stearns; two brothers, Glen and Leonard Ballenger; daughter, Carolyn Wallsmith; and a great-grandson.
Religious Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, Kentucky with Pastor Michael Patton officiating. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. on Friday at the HE. Pruitt Memory Chapel. Interment will be at Parrish Cemetery Albany, Kentucky.
