A flood of donations enabled Eastside Community Center to resume planning its annual Thanksgiving dinner after considering canceling the event due to a lack of food donations.

1990

Christmas came early for the town of Nashville when local businessman Frank A. Rogers gave the town a lot, valued at $91,000, for the new town hall/community center.

1965

Columbus High School opened its 1965-66 basketball season at Memorial Gym against neighboring North Vernon, with nearly 7,200 fans on hand. Just 75 tickets were available for single-admission sale at the door.
