Columbus North grad selected All-Big East
Marquette midfielder and defender Morgan Proffitt has been named to this year’s All-Big East women’s soccer team.
The junior from Columbus North has scored three goals this season while playing a key role in the Golden Eagles’ defensive unit. She has earned Big East weekly recognition three times, including two Big East Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Proffitt was a second-team All-Big East selection last season and a preseason All-Conference pick this year.
The Golden Eagles finished the season 8-8-4.
Cross-country event coming to Ceraland
Today is the deadline to register for the USATF Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships, and Thursday is the deadline to register for the USATF Open and Masters Cross Country Championships. The events will be conducted Saturday at Ceraland.
