School corporation officials met with the public at The Commons during the final 2005 School House session to weigh the safety/injury pros and cons of synthetic turf multipurpose fields for Columbus high schools. Athletic boosters for the schools hoped to gain permission to raise private funds to cover the estimated $600,000 cost.
