2005

Dorel Juvenile Group donated $600,000 worth of juvenile products for families recovering from recent hurricanes. Nearly 3,000 car seats, 2,500 strollers, 2,000 cribs and 2,000 portable feeding seats were distributed through the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions throughout the Gulf Coast.

United Way of Bartholomew County reported it was within $73,050 of its record $1.5 million goal and extended the deadline.

Bartholomew County Plan Commission considered taking action to control what was termed “subdivision sprawl,” a proliferation of houses located on 3-acre lots.
