Maurice D. Hoeing, 87, of Sandusky, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at the Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg.

Born, March 31, 1928, in Decatur County, he was the son of Joseph B. and Agnes Marie (Butz) Hoeing.

Maurice was an interior and exterior decorator for many years. He also farmed. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He loved God, family, friends, and the great outdoors.

He was married to Roselyn C. Raver on September 14, 1957, in Enochsburg and she preceded him in death on June 25, 2015.

He is survived by two sons, Ron Hoeing of Columbus and Wayne (Lori) Hoeing of Carmel; two daughters, Barb (Rick) Bullard of St. Paul and Nancy (William) Fogg of Greensburg; four brothers, Carroll (Dottie) Hoeing, Sheldon (Mary) Hoeing, Alfred (Millie) Hoeing and Jerome (Kathleen) Hoeing; three sisters, Dorine (Paul) Rosfeld, Delores Bruns and Marieda (Jim) Koors; eight grandchildren, Mandy (Jeremy) Grant, Kirk Bullard, Sarah Hoeing, Anna Hoeing, Ben Hoeing, Aaron Fogg, Maria Fogg and Christina Fogg; two great-grandsons, Carson and Caden Grant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dale Hoeing; and one brother, Marvin Hoeing.

Family and friends will gather at 3:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home to pray the rosary. Visitation will follow the rosary until 7 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg.

Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s Church Building Fund.
