Columbus Christian wins physcial thriller

INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus Christian shot 50 free throws, making 35, and it needed almost every one of them in a 65-63 win Saturday at Providence Cristo Rey.

Logan Roth went 16 of 20 at the line and led the Crusaders (5-1) with 18 points. Lain Isley scored 15, and Adriane Polley added 13.

“I felt like we kind of got tired,” Columbus Christian coach Kevin Roth said. “It was a physical game, and Adriane and Logan were spent. We normally play man-to-man, but we went zone, and they ended up hitting some 3s, but I thought we really came out ready to play tonight.”
