Schools sign transfer agreement for degrees

Leaders at Indiana Wesleyan University and Ivy Tech Community College have signed an agreement that enables students to transfer seamlessly from Ivy Tech’s early childhood education program to the university’s bachelor’s degree program in the same subject area.

The program provides a pathway for students who earn an Ivy Tech Associate of Science degree in early childhood education to move directly into the bachelor’s degree program at Indiana Wesleyan. All Ivy Tech credits transfer to the university.

Ivy Tech has about 500 students enrolled in the associate program now. An estimated 10 percent of these students are expected to take advantage of the program.
