Due to low inventory, the Columbus East food pantry will not be open to community clients on Friday. The pantry will be open only to students after the end of the school day, said Greg Lewis, social studies department chairman and one of three high school teachers who manage and staff the pantry.
The food pantry, which operates every other Friday, will be open again to community clients from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Dec. 18.
Lewis said the food pantry apologizes for any inconvenience to the public.
