The Jennings County Players will perform the play “Ten Thousand Hallelujahs” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Park Theatre Civic Centre, 25 N. Madison Ave., North Vernon.
The play is about the testimony of Mary, an elderly woman who demonstrates how one godly life can bring many to experience the true meaning of Christmas.
Highlights of George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah” will be interwoven throughout the musical. A children’s choir will perform special songs, too.
Adult tickets cost $8 in advance or $10 at the door; tickets cost $3 for students in kindergarten through grade 12, and $1 for preschool children. Advance tickets can be purchased at the theater box office from 3 to 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
