Time to give back

As the December holidays near, you can begin a new season of giving to others. Here are three chances to do that here plus plenty of others on Page XX (fill in page number).

Music to their ears: Parkside Court staffers are seeking musicians to donate time to play or perform for residents at the senior assisted living facility at 3660 Central Ave. in Columbus. Performers are needed around 2 p.m.  or 7 p.m. Information: John Rawlins, 812-378-9795 or john.rawlins@holidaytouch.com

All aboard to help! Kidscommons children’s museum is gearing up for its imaginary version of The Polar Express in a Christmas class for youngsters from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 20. 10 to 15 enthusiastic volunteers are needed to be conductors or station managers. Conductors will lead groups of eight to 12 children to various stations that coincide with the themes prevalent in the class. Station managers will work with the conductors in assisting children and their caregivers in an activity (craft station, snack station, train station, etc.) Volunteers are welcome to sign up for one or both sessions.
