• BCSC transportation office, Lori Cravens, Sharon Western and Greta Hoover for your quick response in getting a bus for our One-Room School House field trip on Tuesday, from Richards’ fourth-graders.

• George Junior Republic-FFT Team for lunch at Papa’s Deli, from Community Downtown.

• Marcia and Chris for helping my family, from Cristy Western.

• all the participants in the Festival of Lights parade, especially the children, as it was a great event.

• all the emergency responders who worked the accident at State Road 9 and Nortonburg Road on Monday.

• Mandy Miller for being a great co-worker and desk manger at the club. You did such an awesome job so keep your head up.

• CRH 5 Tower staff and Julie for the luncheon and Christmas ornament as we love volunteering for you, from the volunteers.

• Rita and John Stewart for being great foster parents as well as family, from Cristy Western.

• the lady and her daughter for giving my son and daughter candy when they couldn’t get to the street at Eighth and Washington during the parade.

• the honest person who turned in the change purse found in the Wendy’s parking lot.

• all the neighbors on Falcon and Irish streets for the help they have given the Small family.

• the Brats who surprised us with a great 40th anniversary party.

• the two kind ladies at the Kitchen Collection store at the Taylorsville mall for finding my billfold on Monday evening, from Becky Davis.

• Diana and Rob for the delightful breakfast they provided for the residents at Central Park Place, from the residents.

• Barbara and Dwan Wasson for another annual ladies lunch at Mark Pi’s, from Mary Rigsby.

• Ninth Street Crime Watch for an awesome Christmas social at Second Baptist Church Tuesday.

• Mike Gray, the motorcycle-riding Santa, for bringing so many happy smiles to everyone he came in contact with the other evening.

• Judith Gillespie for an awesome Christmas party, from the Democrat Women.

• the special lady at Kirlin’s Hallmark store who gave me a coupon for use on an added purchase.

• Catholic Archbishop Joseph Tobin for walking the talk of being a Christian.

Onions to …

• the rude people at the parade on Saturday night who cut in front of people watching the parade so they could see.

• those responsible for not cleaning up the debris and mess from the parade until late Sunday morning.

• the person who ran over my yellow cat at County Roads 200S and 1100E and did not even stop to tell me.

• the traffic problem at 17th Street and Beam Road.

• the thieves who are stealing bicycles in downtown Columbus right out of people’s back yards.

• landlords who have so many tenants that they block owner occupied house parking and trash cans on trash day where they cannot be picked up.

• those who have forgotten under our last president the unemployment rate was at an all-time high, car companies and banks were failing, we had the mortgage crisis, the stock market plunged and we had the Iraq war.

• drivers who endanger themselves and everyone else by not turning their lights on in the fog.

• those with eyesore homes because it’s hard to drive past them every day, it pulls down everyone’s resale worth and gives the community a bad name.

• the person who needs to stop with the Common Core math thinking that less equals more.

• the driver of the car who dangerously tailgated my van on Tuesday morning when the fog was so heavy.
