Kyle Pendleton, Edinburgh senior basketball player

Pendleton led the Lancers with 19 points in Friday’s 65-47 loss to Oldenburg Academy and scored 29 points Saturday to lead Edinburgh to a 70-60 win at Waldron.

“I feel like I did really well, but most of it was, we came together more as a team than we did the past two games. We were able to get better shots off, and I was lucky enough to be able to get most of those shots.”

“I listen to music on the bus and try to focus for the game.”

Paige Littrell, Columbus North senior basketball player

Littrell went 6 of 6 from the field, including 5 of 5 from 3-point range to lead the Bull Dogs with 17 points — all in the first quarter — in Saturday’s 80-45 win against Terre Haute South.

“I thought it was my breakout game for the year. I was pretty happy with how I played. I’m finally starting to hit some shots, unlike other games this year.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“I usually listen to music during the JV game. If it’s an away game, I always take a nap.”
