Business Ethics Magazine ranked Cummins Engine Co. a top corporate citizen, Diversity Inc. magazine named it a best place for Asian-Americans to work, and Dow Jones included the company in its World Sustainability Index for 2005.

1990

Bartholomew County’s enhanced 911 emergency telephone system worked like a charm on its first day of operation and became available to all Bartholomew County telephone users, not just Columbus residents.

1965

Two brown spiders found by Columbus residents and thought to be poisonous fiddlebacks, never seen before in the area, turned out to be harmless “granddaddy longlegs.”
