Mission Columbus seeking volunteers

An Asbury United Methodist Church outreach is recruiting volunteers to help with a major community project next year.

Mission Columbus, working to demonstrate the love of Christ through building and refurbishing projects, will help the Columbus Township Trustee’s Office and Love Chapel as they partner on a planned new homeless shelter, Brighter Days Housing.

It will serve as an emergency housing entry point for homeless people, according to organizers.

Steve Ferdon of Mission Columbus said members are looking for people with building and construction skills willing to compassionately help others facing challenges.
