14th Street
Howard A. Smith Jr., 61, of 14th Street, died at 8:26 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Department.
Mr. Smith is survived by his children, Chris Capps of Columbus and Angela Smith, Quin Smith and Kylyssa Smith, all of New Albany; siblings, Judy (Frankie) Henderson of Columbus, Dallas (Bob) Word of Sun City, California, Jeffery (Sandi) Smith of Columbus, Angie Smith of Los Angeles, California, Eric Smith of Columbus and Robin (Ralph) Haywood of Columbus; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Tony McClendon officiating. Calling will be from 2:30 p.m. until service time Friday.
In keeping with Mr. Smith’s wishes, cremation is planned.
