Robert “Buck” Lemley, 73, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Major Hospital in Shelbyville, Indiana. He was born April 18, 1942, in Edinburgh, to Ray Lemley and Mary Alma (Brown) Lemley.

He is survived by numerous cousins including Deborah (Larry) Raufeisen of Edinburgh, Max (Christine) Lemley of Columbus, Linden “Pete” Lemley of Columbus and Jinny (Gary) Owens of Columbus; and a longtime friend, Terry (Pat) Robinholt of Edinburgh.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Lemley served in the U.S. Marines from April 16, 1966, to February 28, 1969. He served in Vietnam, receiving several medals and awards.

He was 1960 graduate of Edinburgh Community High School and a member of Edinburgh Masonic Lodge No. 100, Edinburgh American Legion Post No. 233, VFW Post  No. 5584 and Military Order of the Purple Heart. He was an avid car enthusiast.

He retired after 23 years of service from GE in Shelbyville.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with calling from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
