HENRYVILLE — The Hauser boys basketball team bounced back from a 64-52 semifinal loss to Southwestern (Hanover) by knocking off Crothersville 67-50 in the third-place game of Henryville’s McKee Munk Invitational.
Connor Wilson scored 19 points to lead four Jets in double figures against Crothersville. Zach Gearhart added 15 points, while Zach Johnson scored 12 and Aaron Sweet had 10.
Hauser (6-3) outrebounded the Hornets 31-28 and forced 22 Crothersville turnovers.
Panthers top Trojans in OT
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County lost a 10-point lead to begin the fourth quarter, but recovered to outscore East Central 16-7 in overtime to pull out a 66-57 victory.
Tyler Vogel led the Panthers (4-3) with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Nick AmRhein added 15 points and five assists.
Jennings wins twice
BROOKVILLE — Jennings County won a pair of games in the Franklin County Tournament. The Panthers beat Beech Grove 56-44 and South Dearborn 45-29.
Brooklyn Gaines scored 16 points, and Sidney Gerkin added 11 against Beech Grove. Alexus Brown led Jennings (8-6) with 10 against South Dearborn.
The Panthers will finish pool play at noon today against Noblesville. The Panthers will then play for first or third place later in the day.
