Shriners give to Fireman’s Cheer Fund

The Tyre Temple No. 129 Prince Hall Shriners recently donated $500 to the Fireman’s Cheer Fund before it made its local deliveries. The fraternal group, previously based in Jeffersonville, is new to Columbus, according to organizers.

Money from the donation came from the 19-member group’s recent Potentate Ball held in October at Columbus’ Clarion Hotel and Conference Center.

The group’s biggest charity is the National Diabetes Association.
