Donnie Wayne Guijarro, 32, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at his home.
A service celebrating Donnie’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Sawyer‐Pickett Funeral and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8 and from noon until the time of the service on Saturday.
Donnie was born to Roberta Henry, April 1, 1983, in Indianapolis and later married Kristan “Kriss” Jeffries on Sept. 18, 2008.
Donnie was not only born on April Fool’s Day but enjoyed joking, laughing and playing pranks. He also enjoyed body mods and anything involving his favorite band, Sublime. More than anything, he loved his bonus children and spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife, Kriss Guijarro of Columbus; three daughters, Meelah Hines of Elkhart, Wennesdae Thompson of Bismarck, North Dakota and Aayla Watkins of Columbus; three sons, Connor and Gavin Thompson of Bismarck, North Dakota, and Ash Watkins of Columbus; mother, Roberta Mathis of Frankfort, Kentucky; father, Jorge Fernandez of Indianapolis; two sisters, Elisa Hubbard of North Vernon and Sara Fernandez of Indianapolis; great‐aunt, Wilma Bristow of Deputy; niece and nephew, Virginia and Gary Hubbard of North Vernon; and cousins, Jesse Scott of Columbus, Jeannie Bonesteel of Seymour and Angela Baurle of Sellersburg.
Donnie was preceded in death by a daughter, Zoey (Smiles) Smith; and his mamaw, Virginia Marksberry.
