Eleanor (Davie) Galbraith, 52, of Carmel, passed away Jan. 4, 2016.

She was born in Lanark, Scotland, to Robert and Myra Davie. The family moved to Columbus, Indiana in 1972. Eleanor attended Richards and Columbus East Schools. After graduation from Franklin College, Eleanor spent her professional career in medical practice management. Despite being diagnosed with cancer in 2009, she continued to work as a court appointed special advocate and to raise funds for fellow patients at St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Eleanor is survived by her husband, John; children, Michael and Moira Bellamy and Laura Galbraith; her father, Robert; and brother, Thomas Davie.

A memorial service will be held at the Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis at 11 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 . Inurnment will follow in Columbus, Indiana at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Davie-Galbraith Liver & Colon Cancers Fund at St. Vincent Hospital.
