Stanley Sunderwirth, Debbie Kelley and Tina Smith, all of Columbus, won “eagerly awaited, long-coveted, semi-prestigious, time-honored 16th Letter to the Editor of the Year” honors.

1991

Brown and Decatur counties were added to the list of those eligible for disaster relief from the same flooding that did about $15,000 damage to two Bartholomew County bridges and washed away large portions of the People Trails in Mill Race Park.

1966

Columbus Postmaster Charles E. Hull said he had received an “extraordinary” number of complaints from local citizens, including the mother of an 11-year-old boy, who received letters from a California firm trying to sell “blue movies” and obscene still pictures through the mail.
