More than 200 community members, mostly students from Columbus East and Columbus North high schools, packed the Richards Elementary cafeteria to weigh in on a school board member’s proposal to require administrative approval for all student publications following the publication of an article on oral sex in Columbus North’s Triangle, which some community residents said they found offensive and inappropriate.

After being without a trash hauler for four months, home trash pickup resumed in Elizabethtown.

State Road 9 between State Road 46 and Hope came under fire from a group of Hope residents hoping to persuade state highway officials to reconstruct or make improvements on the road which they considered to be too narrow, uneven and limited in visibility because of hills along that stretch of the road.
