Columbus has many homes that one individual owns, which are rentals, however when the renter moves out, the owner boards up the property, which is an eyesore in various neighborhoods. The houses are nice brick units that people would like to rent or own. Some apartments owned by the individual are really in bad shape. One garbage can for four units. I have seen three different areas that have been handled this way.
The city, I guess, can’t do anything. Maybe public awareness will encourage this person to do what is right.
