Harold W. Finke, 90, of Hope, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus.

Mr. Finke was a retired Dairy Farmer, a member of Grace Lutheran Church, American Legion and Clifty Creek Rook Club. He was a WWII Army Veteran.

The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, at Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. John W. Armstrong officiating.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and 9:30 a.m. to time of service at the Church.

Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery with military honors presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.

Born in Columbus, September 15, 1925, Mr. Finke was the son of Walter and Katherine Hoeltke Finke.

He married Mary Margaret Schwartzkopf, September 29, 1946. She preceded him in death, October 12, 2013.

Survivors include his children, Lynn (Debbie) Finke of Columbus and Barbara (Don) Sigman of Hope; siblings, Irvin Finke of Columbus, Dick (Jackie) Finke of Hope, Dorothy (Vernon) Cox of Columbus and Joe (Dottie) Finke of Columbus; grandchildren, Alyssa (Peter) Olson and Kristine (Chad) Polstra; step-grandsons, Greg (Sarah) Sigman and Doug (Amanda) Sigman; great-grandchildren, Synnove and Seija Olson; and step-great-grandchildren, Macy, Mackenzie, Rylan and Nolan Sigman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Marshall, Eugene and Hurbert Dean Finke; a sister, Irene Nading; son, Larry Finke; and a son in law, Douglas Wainscott.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
