Barbara Pauline Huntsman, 85, of Columbus, died at 12:05 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Huntsman was formerly employed at Hardee’s as a hostess.

She attended Ohio Chapel United Methodist Church and Ogilville United Methodist Church. Barbara was a former Sunday School teacher, Bartholomew County 4-H leader and Foster Grandparent at Mt. Healthy Elementary School. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and reading.

The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver, & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with the Rev. Beth Ann Cook officiating.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike.

Burial will be at Ohio Chapel Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Southwest Volunteer Fire Department or Mt. Healthy School.

Born in Anderson, Indiana, June 21, 1930, Mrs. Huntsman was the daughter of Floyd Grant and Mona Yeagley Ward.

She married Edward W. Huntsman May 6, 1950. He preceded her in death May 30, 2010.

Survivors include her children, Terry (Roana) Huntsman of Columbus, Caroline “Susie” (Steven) Newland of Columbus, Paul (Virginia) Huntsman of Poseyville, Pam (Bill) Branson of Indianapolis, Janet (Kenneth) Ashburn of Columbus and Patti (T.C.) McIntosh of Virginia; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Sally (Charles H.) Lowe of Columbus; brothers, Donald E. Ward of Columbus and Mike (Debbie) Ward of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Jim Huntsman; and a brother, Floyd Ward Jr. and Jack Ward.
