Janie Wetherald, 81, of Taylorsville, passed from this life at 11:42 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016, at her home.

Mrs. Wetherald was a member and a retired teacher at Bethel Holiness Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Holiness Church with the Revs. Nathan Shockley and Robert Thompson officiating.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and from 12:30 p.m. to time of service Tuesday at the church.

Burial will be at Mt. Healthy Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Holiness Church of God’s Bible School.

Born July 28, 1934, in Georgetown, Indiana, Mrs. Wetherald was the daughter of the Rev. L.W. and Lola Mae Woods Mayhugh.

She married Jack N. Wetherald Sr. November 8, 1952. He preceded her in death December 30, 1995.

Survivors include her children, Jack N. (Brenda) Wetherald Jr. of Pelzer, South Carolina, Randy (Bonnie) Wetherald of West Milton, Ohio, Mike (Debra) Wetherald of Penns Creek, Pennsylvania, Ed (Beth) Wetherald of Clifford, David (Lesa) Wetherald of Indianapolis and Donita Salsman of Taylorsville; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Jim (Rhonda) Mayhugh of Decatur, Illinois, and P.J. Mayhugh of Shelbyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Jack Mayhugh and Johnnie Mayhugh; a sister, Mary Ann Meyers; a grandson, Tony Wetherald; and two great-grandsons.
