Mount Auburn
Velma M. Lain, 85, of Mount. Auburn, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis. She was born July 26, 1930, at Shelbyville, Indiana, to Roy E. and Mabel Catherine (Stillabower) Muldoon. She married Robert G. Lain December 26, 1951, and he preceded her in death July 5, 2011.
She is survived by a son, Jack (Teresa) Lain of Shelbyville; a daughter, Sue (Kerry) Geesaman of Greenwood; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Cecil Muldoon, Darrel Muldoon, Irven Muldoon and Russell Wayne Mulldoon; and a sister, Donna F. Garrison.
Mrs. Lain was a graduate of Mount Auburn High School and a member of Mount Auburn Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh, Indiana, conducted by the Rev. Brian Scott. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Franciscan Hospice, Mount Auburn Christian Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
