Joan Carter Pruitt, 78, of Scottsburg, died on Monday, February 1, 2016, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barnie Pruitt; a son, Bruce Glenn Pruitt; a brother, Wayne Bledsoe; a sister, Alice Joyce Carter; and a granddaughter, Tiffany D. Carpenter.
Survivors include a son, Michael R. (Gina) Pruitt of Scottsburg; three daughters, Deborah L. Carpenter of Whitehouse, Tennessee, Glenda S. Pruitt of Scottsburg and Marcella E.(Robert) Barrett of Lexington; two sisters, Jeraldine Studdard of Jetersville, Virginia and Janis Fields of Surgoinsville, Tennessee; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg.
