Former teacher Paulette Roberts brings slavery’s underground railroad history to life when she presents a free performance of “The Life and Times of Harriet Tubman” at 10 and 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Columbus’ Mill Race Center, 900 Lindsey St.
Tubman helped many slaves escape to freedom via a series of anti-slavery undergound tunnels and passageways. The Bartholomew County Public Library is coordinating the event.
