MALE

Graham Rooks, Columbus East sophomore wrestler

Rooks went 3-0 on Saturday to win the 120-pound weight class and help lead the Olympians to a runner-up finish in the Jeffersonville Regional.

His performance last week:

“I think I did pretty decent. There’s still stuff to improve on, like getting into my positions, working on getting guys off their knees and getting to my control ties like underhooks and stuff.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“Getting my mind right, warming up, getting mentally focused and prepared for the match.”

FEMALE

Bri Howard, Edinburgh junior basketball player

Howard led the Lancers with 20 points in Saturday’s 63-57 overtime win against Morristown in the Morristown Sectional final. On Friday, she led Edinburgh with 14 points in a 42-38 semifinal win against Greenwood Christian.

“I feel like I tried really hard to get the win.”

“I drink this energy drink (Spark), and I listen to music.”
