For the fifth time, the Indiana Department of Education recognized Parkside Elementary School as a Four-Star School, based on attendance, language arts and math proficiency and the percentage of students meeting state standards in both areas. Only 198 of Indiana’s 1,780 schools earned the honor.

Six Columbus East High School students, members of Future Farmers of America, drove farm tractors to school to celebrate National FFA Week.

Columbus High School Bull Frogs, kings of Hoosier swimming for six of the past seven years, were dethroned by South Bend Adams in the state competition at Indiana University. However the team set one state pool record and five school records.
