Doris Irene Darlage, 93, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at 4:18 p.m. at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour.

Doris was born February 25, 1922, in Jackson County, Indiana, the daughter of Clarence and Ella Hall, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Edwin H. Darlage November 21, 1942, in Waymansville, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 2006.

Mrs. Darlage was a 1940 graduate of Brownstown High School and attended business college until her marriage. She was a homemaker who loved to quilt and was always available to put on a great meal.

Doris was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church at Waymansville where she served with the Ladies Aid and as a Sunday school teacher. She loved music and playing the organ.

She is survived by her three sons, Wayne (Nell) Darlage, Paul (Maxine) Darlage and Richard (Rhonda) Darlage; a daughter-in–law, Bonnie Darlage; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, a son, Kenneth Darlage, a granddaughter, Lora Darlage, and a brother, Harry Hall, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 25, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, with Pastor John Beabout officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service.
