Wilma Jean Marsh Tooley, 76, of Columbus, died peacefully in her home at 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016.

Wilma was born May 2, 1939, in Seymour, the daughter of Paul A. and Opal L. Bedel Marsh. She married Donald Gene Tooley on April 30, 1959, in Seymour. He preceded her in death.

Over her life, Wilma had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour and was currently a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was a ’57 graduate of Seymour High School, had worked for Cummins Engine Company on the assembly line and later worked for Como Plastics as a press operator. She was an avid reader, loved flowers and gardening and enjoyed football, especially the Indianapolis Colts. She loved to spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

The funeral service for Wilma will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016, in Myers‐Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Brother Glenn Poynter officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Seymour. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p. m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Wilma is survived by her sons, Brad (Eileen) Tooley and Brian (Rocky) Tooley, all of Columbus; sister, Clara Kammon of Seymour; brothers, Dale (Lucille) Marsh of Seymour and Bill Marsh of North Vernon; her grandchildren, Christy Lynn (Lonnie) Burton of Columbus, Christopher (Renea) Denton of Muncie, Shana Renee Tooley, Donald Thomas and Daniel Norris all of Columbus; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Don and Gary Marsh; and sisters, Julia Lazzell and Linda Brown.
