talking points

Some key points from Aaron Renn, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, who was the keynote speaker at the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting:

•Columbus is winning as a city because it’s doing great on job growth and holding its own on personal income.

•Columbus has succeeded because of its ongoing pursuit of excellence.

•Other Indiana communities are learning from Columbus. The city should do more to promote itself as a model of success.

•Columbus can’t stay stagnate. It should figure out how to respond to the challenge of urbanization.
