Uncomfortably high temperatures and crowded classrooms at Columbus North High School and a leaky pool and the need for a first-floor restroom at Columbus East High School topped the list of Bartholomew Consolidated School Board’s “to do” list after 11 months of study by architects.

Executives with Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing and local government officials broke ground for a $4 million, 98,000-square-foot distribution center at Woodside Business Center.

A Fraternal Order of Police fundraiser featuring a performance by country-western music star Marty Robbins got off to a rocky start when the folding curtain at Memorial Gym malfunctioned. After the curtain finally opened, the performance started in total darkness because someone forgot to turn on the stage spotlights as the house lights were turned off.
