Eagles open with win
SWITZ CITY — Brown County pounded out 16 hits Wednesday in opening the season with a 9-2 win at White River Valley.
Jasmine Imming went 3 for 4, and Katie Harsch and Faith Williams each went 3 for 5 for the Eagles. Rachel Kilby went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Alyson Simpson went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Emma Quackenbush went 2 for 4. Kali Huesman added a pair of RBIs.
Vicky Kelp threw a four-hitter and struck out 13 in picking up the win.
