In conjunction with Bartholomew County Earth Day activities, the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department will accept expired, unused and unwanted prescription medication April 23.
The medication may be dropped off from 9 a.m. until noon that day at the Columbus/Bartholomew County Recycling Center, 720 S. Mapleton St.
The department will not accept medication from businesses or pharmacies because they should properly manage their drug waste under federal and state hazardous waste regulations.
