Jeffery F. Riley, 52, of North Vernon, passed away at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in North Vernon. The Rev. Don Hamilton and the Rev. Darrell Stidham will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016. Burial will be in Valley Home Church Cemetery in Freetown.

Born November 26, 1963, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, Jeffery was the son of the late Lester and Jackie (Stallard) Riley. He was the youngest of five children and was adored by his family, especially his four children. He graduated from Jennings County High School, where he was an active member of the band, and attended Purdue University, where he was a member of the jazz band.

Jeffery worked at Valeo North America Inc. in Seymour and was previously employed at Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. He was a member of Dupont Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, outdoor activities, music and running lights and sound for the band “Code Blue.”

He married Teresa Cline Riley August 26, 1995. She survives.

In addition to his wife, Teresa, Jeffery is survived by one daughter, LaKeisha Madden of Thornton, Colorado; three sons, Justin Cline, J. Robert Madden and Damian Riley, all of North Vernon; three sisters, Theresa (Freole) Gabaree of Brownstown, Valera Riley Schafer of Fishers and Peggy (Donnie) Wilson of North Vernon; and three grandchildren, Addie Grisby, Skylar and Elysa Madden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Jackie Riley, and one sister, Kathie Murell.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Dupont Baptist Church or Valley Home Church Cemetery Fund.
