Scharlet Sue Corbin, 69, of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family and friends following a courageous battle with cancer.

Sue was retired from the Department of Defense at Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis and a member of Community Church of Columbus.

Sue is survived by her son, Keith (Carmen) Corbin of Noblesville; her daughter, Treana Meginnis of West Richland, Washington; brother Terry “Butch” (Roberta) Adams of Westport; sisters, Sheila (Bob) Murray of Seymour and Sherri Adams of Lexington, Kentucky; brother, Mike (Valerie) Adams of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Sandra Adams of Westport; grandchildren, Christoffer (Amanda) Meginnis, Deven Meginnis and Isak Corbin; great-grandchildren, Autumn and Marshall Meginnis; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Iola Adams; and a brother, Don Adams.

The funeral service for Sue will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St., Columbus, with Pastor Larry Bogard officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Calling will be from noon until service time.
