An Indiana State Police Trooper who lives in Columbus and is assigned to the Versailles District was honored with multiple awards recently for his good performance.

Trooper Korry Clark was named the 2015 Trooper of the District award for the Versailles Post. He also received awards for leading the district in DUI arrests last year and for being one of the top five troopers in the state in DUI arrests last year, according to an Indiana State Police news release.

Clark received the Trooper of the District award for outstanding efforts in traffic and criminal enforcement, crash investigations, community service and for exemplifying the integrity, service and professionalism of an Indiana State Trooper.

Last year, Clark issued more than 800 citations and 500 warnings, had 93 criminal arrests and conducted more than 200 services, and his 55 driving-under-the-influence arrests led the Versailles District and earned him the Top 5 award for being fifth in the state in the number of impaired drivers arrested last year.

Clark, a seven-year veteran of the Indiana State Police, patrols Zone 1, which covers Bartholomew and Jackson counties.

He received the awards April 15 during a ceremony at the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis, where more than 50 troopers and civilian employees of the Indiana State Police were honored for their service.
