Jennifer S. Banks, 39, of Riverstone Court, Avon, passed away at 12:15 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016. She was born August 19, 1976, in Springfield, Illinois.
Jennifer attended Emmanuel Church in Greenwood and attended Vincennes University where she completed her studies to become an Emergency Medical Technician. She then went on to attend Ivy Tech and IUPUC, first graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and then becoming a Registered Nurse. She was currently working for a home health agency, fulfilling her passion to work with special needs children.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Terrance Preddie officiating. Calling will be from 2 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Survivors include her sons, Alijah Jenkins and Isaiah Nelson, both of Avon; a daughter, Aryana Taylor of Avon; parents, David (Sharon) Helms of Westport, Sandra Nelson of Avon and Bryan Nelson of Bradenton, Florida; fiance, Brandon Taylor of Avon; brothers, Bryan (Tammy) Nelson Jr. of Chillicothe, Illinois, Terry Nelson of Omaha, Nebraska, Jarrod (Raquel) Nelson of Alabama, and Chad (Ann) Nelson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a sister, Ashley Nicole Mannon of Lansing, Michigan; and extended family, Shirley Jenkins, Darlene Westbrook, Robin and Rhonda Phillips, all of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Sean Dobbins.
Services were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
